A Shared Reading
of Scripture
This is an Orthodox walk through Scripture. Each episode reflects on a passage from the Church’s lectionary, reading the Bible as it has been received and lived within the life of the Church. We slow down, examine historical and cultural context, and engage the witness of the Church Fathers — not to lecture, but to walk together through the Word.
This is not a debate, a reaction to modern preaching, or a verse-by-verse commentary. It is a shared reading of Scripture, rooted in Apostolic faith, shaped by Tradition, and oriented toward repentance, understanding, and transformation.
We read Scripture with people, not at people.

The Lectionary Principle
Why the Lectionary?
We aren’t choosing the passages. The Church already chose them. We follow the Sunday lectionary, beginning after Christmas and walking forward — anchored to a strict format, not chasing the calendar in real time. This means the people can listen more than once, servants can reuse episodes, youth can discuss them, and Scripture isn’t disposable. Depth over frequency.
